The audio hardware stocked is from a relatively small range of specialist suppliers and is selected for merit, mutual compatibility and (relative, in this business) value for money. Most comes into the category of "mid to high end" but some is actually quite affordable.
Andy Heavens joined the business a few years ago, mainly to open up the custom install opportunities, but his ears and judgement have proved invaluable to our 'core' business of two channel music audio.

Alastair Gardner
For those new to Signals, here is a potted history:
My name is Alastair Gardner and I started Signals in 1993 with no previous experience of working the Hi-Fi industry. The motivation was a keen interest in audio and a near thirty year desire to own a hi-fi shop. Initial attempts at finding a suitable location almost resulted in working from a converted railway station waiting room (hence Signals) but at the last minute this arrangement proved unsuitable and the current operation was born. We are located in the village of Bucklesham, close to the A12 and A14 but closer still to open fields.
My aim is to offer goods and services in a straightforward manner. If I feel that a product is unsuitable for a customer I will say so. I try not to get too dogmatic about it - indeed I have some perfectly happy customers who seem to make a point of buying items they know I am not fond of - but I will always give my honest opinion even if it is not the most remunerative or convenient for me. Many of my views have been committed to paper or the web so there is consistency in these recommendations.
To put it simply, I intend to sleep nights and I want customers to return.
So far the level of repeat business has been gratifyingly high and turnover has
